Bulgaria’s Constitution regularizes well early parliamentary elections, but poorly – the regular ones, by stipulating for an unnatural 50-month cycle. For Europe this is a sheer nonsense. The elections for European MPs and for Bulgarian Parliament are with mostly similar motivation – they are both parliamentary, so it’s logical that parties would form the same coalitions and seek the same electorate support. In all EU member states wherever possible the votes for European and national parliaments are arranged in the same day.
