Tripartite Coalition Agrees on Dropping 4% Parliamentary Election Barrier
Socialists throw a life-belt to NMSP for the general election; NMS will probably trade the 2-in-1 election idea for the chance to enter the parliament again
| 13.02.2009 22:37BSP threw NMSP a life-belt for the forthcoming general election at the Political Council of the tripartite coalition session by dropping the 4% barrier in order of securing the movement’s entering in the next parliament. Working groups from the three ruling parties continue discussions on 2-in-1 elections. By end-February a new schedule shall be adopted for the next 6 months, covering concrete measures in justice and interior affairs. Priority will be given to introducing parliamentary control for SANS, adopting the Law on the Conflict in Interests, and amending the law regulating the so-called “Kushlev Commission”.
