A day before the session of the Supreme Court of Cassation on the trial for registering Martin Dimitrov as legitimate leader of the Union of Democratic Forces (UDF), UDFers from the town of Razgrad caught activists from ethnically Turkish Movement for Rights and Freedoms (MRF) collecting a fake subscription in the region for the independent running of the UDF at the European and national parliaments elections. The National Election Headquarters of the Blue Coalition approached the Central Election Committee (CEC) and the European Parliament on the matter, declaring the subscription collected by MRF “a provocation aimed at disturbing rightist voters and frustration of the Blue Coalition registration”, and noted the two coalition parties will start the real subscription on April 29.
