Prices Stop Falling
Consumer prices index for September shows no decline, inflation year-on-year is 0.2%, data of the National Statistics show
Bulgaria News | 13.10.2009 18:33Consumer prices index for September features no decline as compared to its August figure, data of the National Statistics Institute (NSI) show. Thus the prices of the most purchased goods and services in Bulgaria stop falling, after deflation was registered in the last 4 months. In August consumer prices fell by 0.2%, in July – by 0.6%, in June – by 0.4%, and in May – by 0.3%. The major factor for the index decline is the reduced prices of food and soft drinks, in transport and entertainment. The average annual inflation for the period October 2008 – September 2009 as compared to October 2007 – September 2008 comes to 5.0%. Year-on-year inflation is 0.2%.
