Elena Dimitrova | 14.09.2009 17:07Twenty nine local directorates of the National Revenue Agency (NRA) will be closed and some of the employees will be united into five regional units in Sofia, Plovdiv, Varna, Bourgas, and Veliko Tarnovo. This reads one of the options for restructuring the revenue administration presented by Minister of Finance Simeon Dyankov and NRA Executive Director Krassimir Stefanov. Both plans are coordinated with the parliamentary Budget Committee and with Prime Minister Boyko Borissov. Each of the five regional directorates is to have offices for customer services and remote working places located in the regional center cities. Those will replace the now operating local directorates. Since start next year some 8% of the NRA employees will be discharged. This comes to 638 persons, including 23 local directors and 37 deputy directors. For the top positions in the units of the agency open contests with outer observers will be held.
